Where do guitar lessons take place?
At my home: 9 Avening Road, BS15 8AU. Or I can travel to you if necessary.
Do you teach kids?
Yes I teach children of all ages. Please let me know in advance if they have any special requirements.
What guitar styles do you teach?
I teach a number of different styles of guitar ranging from: Jazz, Blues, Funk, Rock, Metal, Folk and Classical. I also teach both acoustic and electric.
Do you teach sight reading and music theory?
I can competently teach students to read music and understand music theory. I also encourage students to work on ear training and to develop internal rhythm.
Do I need a guitar?
I can provide you with a guitar for your first lesson but without a guitar of your own you will not get very far!
How expensive are beginner guitars?
There are reasonably priced guitar packages available for beginners and I would advise visiting shops around the Bristol area.
Alternatively, there are a number of great online options that you can use.
Am I too old?
I believe that you are never too old to take up the guitar and I have taught students well in to their seventies.
How regularly do I need guitar lessons?
Once a week is recommended, but I also have some students that prefer to have lessons fortnightly.
How much should I practice?
The more the better is the obvious answer, but I would recommend at least half an hour to an hour a day for a beginner to really see significant improvement.

I have a 24 hour cancellation policy, where you will be required to pay the full price of the lesson if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice.
